Evaluating the Efficacy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Children with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: A Report of Three Cases

Abstract
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder with significant loss of functioning. It is seen that most of the individuals who have this tendency to have chronicity have symptoms from childhood. In the studies conducted, it was determined that the combined treatments with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) were more effective and the recurrence rates were lower. In recent years, the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in childhood has become widespread. In this study, the effectiveness of CBT in children was discussed by considering the developmental characteristics of childhood.

Obsesif Kompulsif Bozukluk Tanılı Çocuklarda Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi Etkinliğini Değerlendirme: Üç Olgu Sunumu

Ozet
Obsesif Kompulsif Bozukluk (OKB) çoğu zaman belirgin işlev kaybıyla seyreden bir ruhsal hastalıktır. Kronikleşme eğiliminde olan bu hastalığa sahip bireylerin çoğunun çocukluktan itibaren belirtilere sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Yapılan çalışmalarda Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi (BDT) ile kombine yapılan tedavilerin daha etkin olduğu, hastalığı tekrarlama oranlarının daha düşük olduğu belirlenmiştir. Son yıllarda çocukluk döneminde Bilişsel Davranışsal Tedavi (BDT) yönteminin kullanılması, yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada çocuklarda BDT’ nin etkinliği, çocukluk çağı gelişimsel dönem özellikleri de göz önünde bulundurularak tartışılmıştır.
